From past into Future

The company was founded in 1970 when few computers existed outside universities and the military. All controls and logic were hardwired and massive cabinet walls with that technology inside were installed in production environments. From then on everything became smaller and shifted from hardware to software solutions.

Currently, programming and commissioning are becoming one and are shifting from being present at the equipment to virtual. The next logical step is to return to being present at the equipment but this time with augmented reality.

Bases for projects all around the world

Chattanooga, USA

Chattanooga Tennessee (also known as the scenic city) is one of the largest cities in Tennessee and has a population of over 150,000. It sits next to two major lakes – Chickamauga and Nickajack – on the south end of Tennessee, just north of Georgia. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and ridges, the city has an interesting landscape that creates a powerful mix of urban and rustic scenery. Chattanooga is noted as being a particularly affordable travel destination and has been rated by Forbes in the top 10 best “Bang for Your Buck” cities.

Our office is located between the city center, the major shopping area and close to our main customer Volkswagen.

Brunswick, Germany

In Braunschweig you will find tradition and modernity united: what the lion city has to offer in sights, ranging from contemporary foundations from the founding days on the reconstructed residential castle, rebuilt incorporating preserved parts, to the young Happy RIZZI House, an architecturally extravagant building sculpture. The magic of the Burgplatz square, surrounded by the cathedral, Dankwarderode Castle, the Landesmuseum and centuries-old half-timbered buildings, is unrivaled in terms of cultural history.

Our location is in close proximity to the main customer Volkswagen. Its 3 manufacturing sites in Wolfsburg, Braunschweig and Salzgitter are within our reach in 30 minutes.

Highlights of the base in the USA

  • VW Passat second facelift

With the US-Customers beiing used to frequent updates in the exterior and interior design Volkswagen has adjusted to this demand and decided to introduce another facelift for the US-version of the Passat. Our biggest project yet in the USA.

  • Atlas – the second VW model built in Chattanooga

It took a long time for this decision to be made, but now the future for this manufacturing plant looks bright. We will do our best to make it a success.

  • 5 Years – Dressler Automation in Chattanooga

Over the past 5 years we developed from a project with all team members traveling from our German base into a local company with all team members locally sourced, employed and trained. This investment in our group and the new base in the USA lays the foundation for further growth.

  • New customer location in Mexico

When Audi decided to build its new plant for the next version of the Q5 not in Chattanooga, but in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico, we supported the engineering from our Chattanooga office and on-site.

  • First customer in Alabama

When Mercedes decided to build the new C-class also in Vance, AL, we helped getting the new equipment going. The project started in Bremen, Germany a little earlier, allowing us to apply our experience from that location to the project in the USA. A relationship that lasts.

  • Transition from project to company

After our successful completion of the initial Volkswagen project and the acquisition of additional customers we decided to take the opportunity and stay. The first step was to move to an adequate office building that we had customized to our needs.

  • New customer Gestamp

What started as a small engineering support job became a long-term relationship in Union, SC.

  • New customer Magna

There are more car manufaturers and tier-1 suppliers in Tennessee than you would guess – our next new customer for engineering support is Magna.

  • First customer outside Tennessee

With a small job at BMW we completed our first project for a local US customer apart from VW.

  • It started as a project

After VW decided to build a manunacturing plant in the USA again after many years without one, we received an order for the bodyshop framing lines. It all started on a big empty lot in Chattanooga, TN which was once an ammunition depot. The first car to be produced there was the US-version of the Passat.
